Some people arrive at their destinations through the back door.
When Denise Lee earned her degree in psychology she was interested in how the brain learns and remembers. Cognitive research seemed appealing, but the job market pushed her in the direction of social services where she remained for seven years. Eventually she went back to school to earn a degree in Data Processing. Although her friends accused her of trading in people for machines, Denise realized the importance of strong people skills in developing useful and easy-to-use software.
After seventeen successful years of writing code, designing software and project management, the ever changing IT industry meant longer work hours and less time for her family. Denise left the industry to care for her family and ponder her true calling.
Although she had helped many friends become more organized over the years, it had not occurred to her that she could organize professionally. But a phone call from a thrilled friend thanking Denise for her office transformation was the spark that changed Denise’s life.
Denise launched Clear Spaces in 2005. Since then she has helped homeowners, small business owners, older adults, and students gain more control and satisfaction in their lives through the power of organizing.
Denise loves designing systems that help people take advantage of their strengths and gifts. She is mindful that she is often privy to things her clients’ best friends and family are not aware of, so she treats every situation with the utmost respect and confidentiality. She is grateful for the trust her clients put in her.
